Product Awareness
Brief
The client wanted a straightforward way to educate retail staff across all of its locations about the new partnership with a leading US frozen drink brand. The requirement included things like brand knowledge, product information, and serving standards.
The client didn't have a preconceived idea about the training method and was happy to remain hands-off during the development phase. The client provided an information booklet about the drink range and a set of brand guidelines, both passed on from the frozen drink supplier.
It was important to take careful consideration of the Icee brand and design something that showcases their product and range of flavours.
The Problem
The goal was to educate retail staff with engaging elearning content to get them excited about the new drink range. Employees already had some transferable knowledge about frozen drinks from a similar drink range which was being removed. This transferable knowledge needed to be taken into account and the content had to be pitched appropriately.
The frozen drink supplier wanted it to be designed within their brand guidelines and they wanted a final sign-off before release.
Audience
The audience was customer-facing employees who had work for the company for a while and had gained transferable knowledge from a different frozen drink range that was being removed in favour of this new supplier.
The content needed to prioritise and upskill them in brand awareness and product range (flavours) and slight changes in serving and presentation.
Solution
This was a straight forward fun product and there wasn't a lot of heavy detailed content. A short eLearning module was an obvious choice. It immediately got sign-off from both the client and the supplier, Icee.
Upon launch, the elearning module received positive feedback from all employees who were engaged and excited about the new range of drinks. This lead to a successful implementation and launch and through this engagement, the drink sales exceeded all expectations and targets.
